Wish I had the time, here’s funny-ish story though, so I took a road trip to Boston Sept. 2015 and stayed in a place that was called Canal Inn at the time, only 7 or so rooms off the Potomac, great location and was lucky to book it as I used the app after driving into D.C. that night around 9 PM. My room was confirmed and the person I talked to over the Phone said my key would be in an envelope outside the building in the mailbox. So I parked in the garage across the street and walked over but didn’t find my name just an envelope that read “Nikita” and of course they didn’t answer their phone to confirm at that point so I figured it was to keep my name anonymous. I’m in my room winding down from day two of my road trip to Boston and at 11PM the guy manager opens my door and sees me inside and then closes the door and I’m like what the heck? Evidently, I took Nikita’s room, the last available room so I don’t know how much they had to pay for her night elsewhere but I was relieved I was only there for the evening and I got the heck out of their early though it was awkward signing my checkout papers in front of the lady manager. Before checkout though, I did the walk down the Potomac to stand in front of the Lincoln Memorial. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend the Library of Congress, I got my membership which expired last September.
