I like to go into a closet, bring a flashlight, shine it to the lower corner to my left, get one ONE knee, the right knee- not the left - cusp my hands behind my head, leave one eye open, my right eye, and pray in real soft tones out loud.
But not too loud. I don't want anyone else to know what I'm doing.
GL with your method. I cross my fingers only when I'm hoping/dreaming of world peace, though.
