I suspect a combo of things happened, perfect storm: P trial issues snowballed as did its costs, and B deal taking longer. Not making excuses for management, mind you. I'm always aware/wary of management optimism, because it has its drawbacks. It's always good to see, but you worry that it is misleading to us and them.

Because Leo is not real CEO for biotech - his mentality is still running mom and pop shop and do daily budgeting. So he was not able to see the cost not paid to CRO
