For 500 theaters being opened, that's not a lot. The second day is going to matter. If word of mouth gets more people in the second day, that's a positive. If viewer percentage drops on the second day, it'll suck big time.

For comparison with similar theater openings and similar daily numbers:

Watch this one: Opens on 425 theaters, but did $4.6 million the first day, and got $19 million total box office. There's NO WAY Gotti statistically will make it into the double digits. It'll be lucky to even beat American Animals.:

Look at these ones that didn't do too well, and totaled $2.7 million, and $1.3 million box office, respectively. So it's safe to say Gotti may get around $4-5 million. BUT... if word of mouth says it sucks just like the critics (21 out of 21 critics say it sucks and one critic said "I’d rather wake up next to a severed horse head than ever watch “Gotti” again", then the viewing will drop fast. The only good thing for MoviePass Ventures is that studios usually get more of the percentage revenue early on, which is why a sucky film like Gotti, they need to open as many screens as they can to sucker people into watching before the real reviews come out and no one goes to watch it anymore.

The question is: How much is MoviePass Venture's share in the movie cost? And how many MoviePass subscribers are being "herded" to watch it so that HMNY has to foot the bill????

In my opinion, Ted Farnsworth is wasting shareholder's money.

Gotti's ranking for the opening day puts it at #11 I believe. That isn't high... But what would it have gotten without MP versus with MP. That would suggest MP's value add.
