Exposure is the last step in my opinion. If the company over exposes itself and deals fall through it can cause a lasting uncertainty that can make the company suffer in the long run. Also, it's costly at a time when they need cash on hand.
I agree they need to promote and get the name out there. But I just think it should be further down the line. If the price drops let it drop in the meantime.
