#62619 RE: roni #62614

I knew you'd bite Roni, but fan sentiment or fervor aside, there is talk among baseball columnists that this year's Cards may be one of the worst teams to ever make the World Series. Granted Edmonds & Rolen are playing wounded and Mulder for Dan Haren was an incredibly bad trade, but the Mets had virtually no starting pitching left by the end of the season either.
The National league had a season with no clear leader, although the Mets finished with as many wins as the Yankees. On any given day any team can win, if St Louis somehow can get past Detroit's pitching staff, it will be in front of one of the smallest TV audiences ever for a World Series.
Chavez's catch was astonishing.
Molina's homerun was a surprise.
Who in the hell are Jeff Suppan,Oliver Perez and Jeff Weaver?
Pujols must have been playing hurt.
Nice shutdown of Reyes, Beltran & Delgado
My team, the Angels had a horrible season and didn't deserve to be there, but my heart is with Jim Leyland now, regardless of my fan loyalty. He deserves the ring, although LaRussa did a good job with not much to work with
