If you research the Hindenburg you'll find the paint used on the shell was mostly to blame for the fire, not the hydrogen. It was compartmentalized to prevent a hydrogen tragedy, but they didnt account for the flash point of the paint.

First of all, I have maintained it is all conjecture as to what happened and who’s to blame no matter what the percentages until all the facts are in! I could have just as easily have said PLUG’s liability could be close to Zero percent if that makes you feel better!
Certainly don’t want to minimize the loss of life in the aftermath of this tragic accident but there is a difference between this tragedy and the Hindenburg! And there are still blimps out there btw!
