He can still explain why there is no clarity. What is the answer? I continue to think that he must have some sense of a failed trial.

What else makes sense? Is it too much for him to say out loud- we ordered the trail and now cannot get the results because i cannot pay the CRO bill?

Or whatever else the problem might be?
