I’ve handed out free Kona Golds to dozens of people. Tailgates during last year’s football season, road trips to NBA games, just at social events. A good amount of those people have invested in the stock. My struggle is not having time to go and push the product to local stores. But that should be the KGKG staff doing that. For the most part at least.
Myself and another investor tried to get KGKG on with a distributor for Anheuser Busch because we caught wind of a rumor that AB was looking for a smaller energy drink company to try to grab some of the market. Unfortunately, they went with a different company. But the individuals we know within that distribution company told us that they loved the taste test from the products that RC sent them. After Missouri passed their Hemp Bill last week (allows cultivation starting August 2018), I reached out to the manager from the distribution company (face to face) and told him just to keep KGKG in mind down the road. If hemp becomes no-longer taboo, maybe a local campaign trying to push KGKG in Missouri on the heels of the new state hemp bill (allowing for farmers to grow hemp) could focus around spreading knowledge of the powers of hemp and pushing hemp products to help improve job and profit outlooks for local farmers. The gentleman appreciated the info and said he’d definitely keep an eye on it.
I also have at least one non-investing friend who informed me he has bought the product off amazon since I gave him 2 free cans last winter.
So definitely know there’s some of us trying. But we need the company, itself, to get the ball rolling quicker.
