Same is kinda true with bid sitters

Many want more shares and they're sitting on a bid wanting the PPS to go which direction? Down. Never mind that we make money by going UP, they want it to go down to meet their desired price to pay.

But when the PPS heads up and away from their desired price to pay, they do not get their shares. Awwww, too bad, so sad.

Imagine that, someone wanted, say, 200,000 shares. They could have bought at the ask 173,000 shares. But when PPS moves up they get 0 shares because their bid never gets filled. Awwww, too bad, so sad.

Buy at the ask!
Sacrifice and get a few less shares but you get to help stimulate upward movement!!! It works out for everyone!!
