WOW, chill AMG. I'm not saying I agree on how quiet management is, BUT, I am saying that there CAN BE contractual issues depending on the client.

1 - I personally think both companies are stupid in releasing photos before they are into commercial production. Its better to keep the competition guessing (fake strength when you're weak, fake weakness when you're strong).
2 - When Alpha was released, I'm 95% sure Cannabix didn't have a contract with any clients wanting to buy these (just a lot of, "I want one!"). PLUS, they had so little into it at that point.
2 - When Alpha was released, I think they were also naive in believing they were the only ones with this idea and therefore didn't think about competition checking it out.
3 - HoundLabs may not have any clients that require confidentiality agreements so they can show all their cards if they want to (but I re-iterate Point 1 for this as well).

Again, this is just opinion based on my experience with concept work and working with BIG clients that don't want their stuff shown off. But I do agree that more transparency from Cannabix would be apprciated. Even if it's "We would like to show you more, but, we have some clients that don't want us to". But I also don't know much about if that would trigger Insider Trading issues.
