First have them buy SLJB! Scotttrade funded and was able to trade same day on a new account. Commissions are more but who knows where the price will be when they can buy from Etrade. I would rather pay a higher commission tomorrow. You would have to wire the funds to trade tomorrow. They have satelite offices as well. GLTY!
Scottrade definately does not have such rules. If you drop a check off at one of their account offices, you can use it to trade next day! Or if you wire it in, its immediately available. Etrade sucks a big one.
