FWIW, years ago I had a temp job at the William Morris Agency in Manhattan. At the time, they handled casting for the Cosby Show. Rumor via one of the talent assistants was that they were looking for a young, attractive woman who would be amenable to Cosby’s advances. This was standard practice. Sorry, but I don’t see these chicks as “victims”. The word was out there and they chose to work/be with him. It’s all about the money.

I admire the man’s work. He was funny without resorting to obscenity. He understood the human condition like no other and could present it with exquisite humor. I saw him in Detroit my freshman year in college. He was so funny I literally fell out of my seat laughing. Back then he took the kids’ side against the parents. As he grew older and the roles were reversed, he started describing life from the parents’ point of view. I think he’s brilliant.
Vilify him all you want. He is a tremendous talent who is not a perfect man.
