#58435 RE: jfray99 #58426

Seems a few of you have picked up on this presentation which just happens to be top of the messages as a STICKIED post. So it's not new news per se. In fact i expect it all changed with the negative shareholder vote last autumn.

Anyways... As to your question, i do not have any particular knowledge bomb with regards to this, but it would make sense to have a top of the range inspection module as part of the ecosystem that Sigma envisioned. Whilst PrintRite3D is on the way to making parts that adhere to the build parameters set by the engineers there is still need in the ecosystem for some post inspection. There is no way companies will go from 100% post-process inspection to 100% no post-process inspection in one sweep. Printrite3D will help reduce the post-process part of the education but it is doubtful it will replace it fully for a while yet. The whole ecosystem would create a start to finish bullet proof module for the creation of 3D printing parts in 8 weeks, that was the goal.

As for your question about whether Sigma was using their (Level 3 Inspection) algorithms...absolutely not! Sigma's algorithms are the key to PrintRite3D, harking back from the work done at Los Alamos the premier physics laboratory globally for these kind of algorithms.
