If I may insert an opinion----I don't think anyone worships Trump nor do I think anyone worshipped Obama, however I have often said that I believe many folks have replaced their religious values for political values, or politics have become their religion....I try to be independent and gauge a politican but what they do--- not by the party......Scripture teaches us to be fruit inspectors----judge by their fruits. Trump was never my candidate of choice, but, I could never bring myself to support a person who left our men at Benghazi to be killed then lie about what happened. Now if I may, as I look at both sides of the isle I see deception, lies, lack of integrity, low morals, greed, self righteousness, disrespect----shall I go on. I will be 75 come July and have learned that 1st and foremost my duty is to get me straight before I try to get another straight---trust me this is a full time job. I find it difficult at times to understand the WHY-----but for whatever reason God has allowed certain men/women to be the head of a country.

OH WELL!!!! all of this is outside of my circle, not a thing in the world I can do to change things, except go VOTE and always keep my country in my prayers. I still respect those who have a different view on things than I.....I do wonder WHY or HOW, like how can a person claiming to be a Christian ever support abortion or a political candidate who supports such. One last opinion here----Peter writes that "Judgment begins at the House of God"........we want things set aright again, maybe I need to clean my front porch 1st, then work on my Church Cleaning up their mess

God Bless

Submission to Governing Authorities

Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.

Submit yourselves for the Lord’s sake to every human authority: whether to the emperor, as the supreme authority, or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right. For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people. Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves. Show proper respect to everyone, love the family of believers, fear God, honor the emperor.
