No .. The Doorbell Button (when tightened-down) was pressing against the two wires coming out of the wood-panel and makes a partial connection ..

A sliver of Rubber btw the two stopped that connection .......... so far ....

Whoever 1st installed that Button, did NOT center it properly ... !!
