I also agree with your middle of the road numbers (1-2 billion). I'm a good bit lower with solid Prurisol results and would be thrilled with 2.5-3.5 with Otezla-like results. Great posts-thank you.

Very good post agree it feels more like a sale then partnership right now. Which makes sense in the big picture for all. Not expecting any crazy numbers unless P results are stellar, maybe a buyout in 7 a share range.

Agree: 3-5 billion. Perhaps more with successful K results.

Loved your analysis in post #224109, hated your opinion and guesses.

Hello waikikian, I would not expect a crazy buyout number. A company with a market cap. of 75 million will not be bought out for 30 billion or even 10 billion overnight. A lot of it depends on what the FDA has to say about B-OM and moreover the Prurisol results especially given that trial will be the first trial designed for statistical relevance.

My guesses: Middle of the road...1-2 billion
If Prurisol results are strong ~5 billion

I believe your guesses are inconsistent with B, P,& k's potential value and IPIX mgmt's stated goal to "maximize value".

I believe your guesses are what you believe buyers would be willing to pay. My belief is that Leo would be unwilling to accept those, what I consider to be, low numbers and, of course, we could both be right.

If no BP is willing to buy IPIX for $10B - $30B, at this $75M mkt cap, as you suggest, then Leo, with 20+ CDAs, IMO, will probably find more value in partnering and that's what I think he'll do.

The bottom line, I believe, is not what BP is willing to pay, but what IPIX is willing to accept, or, to quote WC Fields: “It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.”
