Likely, he has not sold because he is trapped - like many longs. No one likes to lock in losses. Thus, he hopes to recover something at some point on the lucky chance that some day that maybe something the company actually promises comes to fruition and the SP rises.

I definitely understand his anger towards this company. I have been invested here for almost 8 years now. It is absolutely shameful how they have treated their long term investors.
