i have seen that and at first it really blew my mind- but now i see it regularly and it seems par for the course, so to speak. the T trade concept is new to me and i am understanding how they make use of it.
i have had my own submitted bids or asks "hidden" and not put up, as it did not meet their current agenda. or, i have had my bid or ask sit there unfilled while the other side was at same price or better.
I've seen:
MMs walk price down 5 to 10 cents or more on tiny 2.5k / 5k 10k trades just to take out a group of stop losses or force panic selling
fake asks put up to make it "look" like a "sell off".
stacked rising bids (multiple 5k or 10k bids), to make it "look" like the price is running up hard.
the ask magically jump up higher when a bid is posted at the ask, baiting the bidders to up their prices
-lots of crazy blatant manipulation here they can get away with. i love it. lol
good old fashioned greed and the human element is FAR easier to work with than software trading algos.
