I've read articles which explain exactly how much petroleum goes into each acre of grain

However, when it comes to stocks, the important things is perception.

I did a quick DD search last night, while researching LFZA, and was amazed how trendy biofuel is. Senators and Governments are jumping on board. ADM is pushing biofuels.

I posted just a few of these on the board last night.

The true costs may become apparent later but the appeal of ending dependence on foreign petroleum is great. So I think that as a defensive play, top biofuel companies are a good bet.
