TDA provides me free L2 and right after I place my order 95% of the time I go right to L II and can see it. It's NOT a typical 100 or 500 share order, always in the thousands, WHEN I see the order fill I get an immediate message and sound from TDA so I know positively that it was my order that filled.
Can there be identical orders showing the one that's not mine?? I imagine so, but very unlikely.
So yes I can and do see my own order when I place it. It may appear and disappear throughout the trading day, but make no mistake I'll know it when I see it 99% of the time.
