@Steady_T - MT does not interact with AV software at all. AV software is doing the scanning in the background. Most programs don't really do that much as far as disk access and CPU, so the slowdown is not noticeable. MT does much more than your normal programs, so if the AV software slows things down, it has a huge impact.
Plus, its not ALL AV. Some have no impact at all, while others such as Windows Defender are extremely bad.
