I hate to admit it, but you could be right. The same might be said for big Pharma buying out cannabis companies if they want to protect opium and other pain medication, but their are a lot of those companies around. Their is nobody as advanced as PSTI in placental stem cells, and just a few others working on it that I know of.

Frankly, Big Oil, big Pharma, etc. largely run the world. In roughly 1964 when I was in engineering school our professor came to us from Allis Chambers. While there, he and another engineer decided to see what they could get out of his Ford Country Squire, which probably weighed 6000 lbs and had a 429 cu. in. V-8. They stripped off all the anti smog gear and replaced the carburetor, in that we were discussing vortices at the time it was no doubt a vortex carburetor. They got 75 mpg out of that car. They knew it could never see the light of day, but I believe that it also had low emissions as combustion was so complete. Sadly, even now the demand is greater for big SUV's than efficient hybrids and electric cars, and while the U.S. may lower economy goals, in most of Europe they're moving toward all cars being electric by 2030 I believe, and many companies have all electric models coming out routinely. In spite of Tesla proving what can be done, big Oil is fighting to stay in the game.
