Well 2 reasons
1- set reasonable sell targets on 60 day order(multiple orders depending on how many shares you have)
This keeps you disciplined and during a big run, precious seconds count. It’s a little quicker to edit the order instead of making a whole order up.
Keeps you disciplined and removes some emotion from the equation

2- MMs can short- yea yea I know there is a huge back and fourth discussion about this- not even getting into the discussion it can’t hurt to keep your shares locked on sell orders-
Anytime anyone questions this and attacks people over locking their shares- I question their motives.
It can’t hurt,only possibly help.
