Started with prop which no one wants to fly and now has a fleet of 29 high quality props. So lets see what happens, personally I would rather fly jet than prop anyday. Dash 8 started in 1984.

I concur. IMO, the only way to start an airline is to get a fairly late model aircraft and get certified yourself. It really isn't all that hard.
Acquiring an airline for its certificate is probably doomed to failure. If the airline had real value, they wouldn't be winding it down and selling it off. Might be good for a quick stock price pop though with the news.
