I believe, not sure though, that any time you graft one plant varietal with another to create a new varietal it becomes genetically modified. Modified means changed. These early hybrids would be a form of genetic “ modification “. Organically grown means without the use of synthetic fertilizers or pesticides. I may be wrong but I don’t believe any of today’s cotton is non gmo.
