#15024 RE: Fightin Iris #15023

One thing about RNVA being in the hospital business is there's tons of information available. Easy to determine that these "hospitals" are economically about worthless and are in impoverished areas with virtually no prospects for a turnaround. The Big South Fork unit, with 25 beds is little more than a clinic... for fixing broken arms and providing first aid for accident victims. Patients requiring serious medical attention will travel farther to a fully equipped medical center in a major city. You don't want to require cardiac surgery in Scott County Tennessee!

More on that hospital:

"Debt-Burdened CHS Sells Hospital to Cash-strapped Rennova"

"In its ongoing efforts to shed about $1.5 billion in debts, Community Health Systems sold one of its Tennessee hospitals to Rennova Health, which is facing its own financial issues after being delisted from Nasdaq this week. It’s been an eventful week for Rennova Health.

On Tuesday, Rennova was delisted by Nasdaq for excessive stock splitting, and closed with a market cap of $112,793, and shares valued at less than $1 a pop.

"However, the Palm Beach Post reports that the company has had a long history of financial problems and that for the first nine months of 2017, Rennova posted a net loss to shareholders of $85 million on revenue of just $3 million."
