spoke: Let's go over this again. You said: Just so everyone is clear, the commitment made at the SHM was to begin ASIC production in 3Q06 (didn't happen) and volume release in 4Q06 (not gonna happen). See slide 22 of the SHM presentation.
Brad said:......in the second half of the year, we anticipate that we will make a commitment to the fab to produce the ASSP.
That was the ONLY commitment made. You ignored what he said. As to the arrows, the ASSP production arrow was in quarter 3 and 4. There was no commitment as to the exact time. The ASSP release arrow started in Q 4 and went forward. There was no line differentiating when the 4th quarter ended, as in the other quarters. When an arrow extends into 2 quarters, or even the length of a quarter, it indicates that the time frame is somewhat fluid. It sure can't be stated that it is a commitment to a specific date, especially when it overlaps two quarters. It is an indicator, as evidenced by the actual statement which said the only commitment was to starting the production of the ASSP in the 2nd half of the year. To put your interpretation of the arrows ahead of Brad's actually statement IMO shows that your agenda is to impose your timeline over Brads for the purpose of discrediting him.
I have little doubt that he will do EXACTLY as he said, and make a commitment to a fab to produce the ASSP in the second half of the year. The release should follow that within a couple of months, IMO.
