He sometimes injects blue-dyed saline solution into the layer of the colon beneath the area of the polyp. The blue color shows through the healthy tissue, but is blocked by the polyp, giving him a clearer view of the margins.”

Yet to be determined if the IMEXF imagery can discern these flat colon polyps. If so, the market for Imagin imagery technology will be gigantic.

Interestingly, during a flat polyp colonoscopy the colon is flooded, filled with water, helping to reveal the flat polyps as they tend to float a bit in the saline. How this might affect application of lesion-detecting dyes or stains must be determined.

Certainly, none of this is lost in the development labs at Imagin. A team will be working this all out on some animal models. If positive, then humans.
