chipguy, I also doubt this number very much. Clearly, in the next few months AMD is working on ASP, not attacking marketshare. The top A64 and Opteron will dust the 3.2/800 P4 and Xeons in 9 benchmarks out of 10, but those puppies will be quite expensive and not very popular.
I think AMD can manage to sell over 50,000 Opterons and 10,000 A64's in the Q3. In term of marketshare, that's zero. In term of money, that will be around 25 mil, not a zero at all.
