But the app will work without the hardware, I know because I installed it. It doesn't report as much data as it would with the dongle but it still works just fine. I'm not sure how the Co. makes money off of a free app, I didn't get any ads while it was running. If I can install and run it for free why would I pay $300.00 for the dongle?

Is there another place to download the app when you purchase the dongle? The website directs you to the playstore
