Investors seem very bullish today. AMD is in the same defensive situation that Intel was in earlier this year. They have nothing to carry them forward except for promises of the next generation.

Of course, Barcelona looks pretty darn good, but it still has a large gap to close relative to Core 2 and Woodcrest performance. And that's just to catch up. It's harder to say if it has what it takes to declare "leadership".
