Filling a small gap over 50% back makes no sense to me.

I understand the theory, but what is wrong with significant news hitting for any company and a gap up in the morning causing a several day run?

Why would all those shares traded and gains made have to be reversed just to fill a theory of chart rules?

If that is a hard and fast rule, why do any of us buy on any day when the MM's create a gap?

I guess that should be a new fundamental trading guide. If a stock opens green, don't buy because you know it will fall back to fill that gap.
