I saw this show on Discovery Channel the other night and with the warming of Alaska, they are concerned the Perma-Frost(excuse my spelling if that is wrong) will be(and is) melting, thus ruining any of the supports that were built upon it.

Some towns are losing buildings each spring due to this very reason..............

Great article on this pipeline in this month's Fortune magazine. BP's really having a tough time with it. You're right about the life expectancy - problem also is finding the damage as much of it is INSIDE the pipes, very difficult to find. Also, the trials on the refinery explosion will begin very soon. Anyway, how does this all relate to BIGN (or FPPL, TRSI, or WWNG - sorry, I couldn't resist the plug)?? Continued problems = need to get oil from somewhere else. Enter BIGN.......
