I am in VXX 44 Calls at .43 The Market was up about $8.00 bucks when I bought , it now Down over $130.00 and my Calls are at ..53 x .54
That 30 Day Chart shows a lot of room to run..
Your right, VXX is Tricky to trade, I have my Gallon of Mayloxx and Bottle of Scotch Handy :-)
