Im definitely not in favor of engendering human qualities on robots. Just the opposite. Automated technology is inevitable though. Robotics will take on more jobs whether we like it or not. My preference is that humans stay in control and instruct robots instead of programming them to instruct us. Unfortunately, we we won't be able to completely control them once they are programmed with static and inflexible responses.
