#75286 RE: Jeterman1 #75278

Who told you that a 'Producer or LP' license is required to receive funding? Who told anyone that major, publicized facility is necessary for a license? Who here actually knows of the variety of licenses that can be and have been attained prior to Health Canada bannering their "Licensed Producer" brand, like cultivation/distribution/grow? So much misinformation is fabricated and passed around without question, and then mindlessly regurgitated day in and day out here, trying to remind people "don't forget to fear this is going to fail!!!" Has anyone inquired into how Quality Green, with a costly 'unlicensed facility' by LP standards, with less than 2000 Sq. ft., was able to secure the LP status and get a push from Health Canada for expansion? Based on the narrative bring crafted by some here, it must be illegal activity meshed in with bribery, right? A more sensical alternative would be that they already possessed some less-commonly discussed licenses for growing/cultivation (I'm sure someone will Google this and correct/update me) and was able to secure pre-LP funding for this small facility to grow enough for a test run and get the LP status. I wouldn't be surprised if AMS is in a similar boat, working on something smaller scale in prep to expand with additional funding while ensuring the LP status will be secured upon completion. Not everything needs to be publicized if there is a larger business model and plan of attack to communicate progress. Speaking of business models: Sanitation, Consulting, Research, Targeted Therapies and Education are no less necessary to the net of the Canna Biz than the actual growing of the plant, which is becoming saturated with competition and the price of the plant will be driven down as a result. So the next frontier of this industry, as everyone says 'imo' is medical Bio-Tech, securing Insurance coverage for th plant and related technology and therapies, where MMJ is federally legal, and having a diversified portfolio of services, connections and offerings, rather than just growing the plant in a facility (not that the latter can't be a good compliment to round out the end-to-end suite of an offering).
