You may be missing the point. More likely that Adage has actually made a killing on this stock, riding the stock up from 4 to 30, shorting, then riding it back down to 2 and covering. If they still own their shares you can bet they will ride it back up again.

Adage doesn’t lose money betting on biotech’s with no revenue that are grinding through years of trial work with long news gaps. They made a killing shorting from the high. You and I along with all the other longs on this MB can only hope they plan to make a lot more money via the long shares they still hold.
