So ya walk into the bank withdraw $1000 and put it in your wallet. Would you leave your wallet on the counter in front of the teller and expect it to be there if you came back 2 weeks later? I mean the banks a fairly safe place right? Well of course you wouldn’t! The sites such as Coinbase or Kraken or any of the others are just like your Bank , fairly safe places but if ya leave your money on the counter it might get taken! Put your cash and or your crypto in a real or virtual wallet and take it with you! Yes if your trading crypto it’s more of a pain in the ass but it’s up to you if it’s worth the risk or not. GL
