12 da Vinci robots in training center, sure but after a decade of intuitive selling and having completely changed how prostatectomy and hysterectomy procedures are performed. We are in a much more progressive, pro robotic medical market now compared to when Intuitive first launched. Any company in the robotic medical business can tip their cap at Intuitive for blazing a trail, it won’t take a decade to establish market adoption for Sport, not even close. It will though take some time, maybe 2-3 years to penetrate let’s say 10-25% of its intended surgical market (IMO), but from there I believe they see rapid adoption. I love the enthusiasm, and hope they sell more systems, right out of the gates, than we all expect!
