#31828 RE: Ducati74 #31827

I have a friend like that.

... one bad day away from a very small cabin and a very LONG manifesto.

He's a gold bug and hoards the metal. But he's smart enough to not hoard silver.

He's also a doomsdayer, which I suspect all precious metal hoarders are. Either that or they have no idea what regulated currency is or means.

He's also the type of person who hasn't paid any taxes for years and openly admits that. I reported him to the IRS. But I still consider him to be a friend for his entertainment value.

I do live in a small house because that's all I need. But all my neighbors around here think it's pretty cool because it's made of stone and is over 120-years old. I don't have any debt and I've paid cash for everything for decades. It would take you a couple days to walk the perimeter of the land the house sits on. Anyone who attempts that probably ought to take along a friend because if there's an accident that causes injury, there's no guarantee a cellphone will reach anybody.

That small cabin you mentioned?: there were lots of structures like that when I bought this property (with cash). I hired a wrecking crew to come out and tear all that stuff down and haul it away. There was also a new addition made to the old stone house. I instructed them to tear that down also and haul that rubble away.
