Believe me I did that, there was fine print in the contract that says they could renew the membership automatically. I imagine there has been laws passed to prevent this type thing. Ever since, I have been real reluctant to allow anyone that kind of access to my credit. My friend's son has a debit card and is always getting unauthorized charges. The bank takes them off immediately. A credit card can be a different matter.
