you mentioned the ammo. Mine was in an area that the fire didn't get to and didn't get wet either. However I had a clear plastic cabinet on my workbench in the garage with about 20 small drawers to keep small screws, parts, electrical components etc. Over the weekend I was raking though some of the rubble and I came across some parts I recognized and remembered they were in that cabinet. There was no trace of that cabinet, not even melted plastic. As moved more debris there was a little pile of .22 shorts. They were all still shinny but no trace of the cardboard box or plastic drawer they where in! I still can figure that out.
