Let's turn back the clock to a couple of dusty old $UNVC PR's from 2011 & 2012:

UNIVEC announces FDA approval of Labeler Code.

Owings Mills, Maryland —August 8, 2011– Univec, Inc. (UNVC) a specialty pharmaceutical company, announces it has been issued a FDA labeler code. This is the prefix for each National Drug Code (NDC) on products that is manufactured and distributed by Univec for the company’s Specialty Pharmaceuticals. The National Drug Code is a unique identifier assigned by the FDA to identify the manufacturer of a prescription drug product intended for human use. The NDC number is also used in the electronic claim processing for payment by third party entities and e-prescribing for physicians.

David L. Dalton, President and CEO of Univec stated. “ We are delighted to make progress in our new business model. The National Drug Codes are very important not only from the standpoint of the FDA, but it also allows payment from Medicare, Medicaid, Insurance companies and other third party payment systems. This is another milestone reached in placement of a solid foundation to build and grow the company. We thank our associates, shareholders and investors for the support and confidence they have shown the company. ”

Owings Mills, Maryland —January 17, 2012– Univec, Inc. (UNVC) a specialty pharmaceutical company, announces it has entered into the transdermal patch marketplace with the provision of Nicotine Replacement Therapy patches. Nicotine Replacement Therapy involves the use of products that provide low doses of nicotine but do not contain the toxins found in smoke. The goal is to relieve cravings for nicotine and ease the symptoms when someone stops using cigarettes and smokeless tobacco. Transdermal patch is a medicated adhesive patch that is placed on the skin to deliver a specific dose of medication through the skin and into the bloodstream.

David L. Dalton, President and CEO of Univec stated. “ We are delighted to continue making progress in our new business model. The National Drug Codes received from the FDA allows Univec to builds it’s own brand of products. The Transdermal patch can be used for different drug delivery system. It is a foundation to build and grow the company on some of our existing markets. We thank our associates, shareholders and investors for the support, confidence and patience they have shown the company. ”

Univec's labeler code will come in handy for Agrimed in adhering to FDA guidelines.

Additionally, the transdermal patch was actually designed to be adapted to drugs other than nicotine. Maybe Dalton had a vision back then. I bet he never dreamed his product would one day be used in the medical MJ field!

Old PR's yes, but every bit as valuable as an old bar of gold!

No wonder Agrimed wanted Univec under their roof. Univec is just as valuable to them as they are to Univec. Beautiful synergistic relationship these companies have.

It doesn't get any more real than Univec/Agrimed!
