The BRK Class A shares and Class B shares trade in tandem or parallel to each other, and investors realize the same investment gains in each. The B shares were created with a value of 1/1500th of each class A share in order that investors who could not afford a Class A share, which now trades at around $300,000, could afford to acquire and build a position in BRK and profit from investing with Mr. Buffett's company, etc. There is nothing wrong with buying and holding class B shares in Berkshire Hathaway, as they are each worth 1/1,500th of a Class A share at all times.
