DJ - I think I may have this figured out. I believe the Moroccan nomads are sheepherders, and any good chef would tell you that mint goes well with lamb. I expect that the essential mint oil will be infused into the Moroccan sheep's diet, thereby enhancing the quality of the meat prior to its being packaged for retail sale.
Crazy? Not any more than missing Brazilian vodka shipments.....
