I don't know exactly why Scott let Dan on the board as I'm not Scott but if I had to guess Dan brought with him $250k in cash (mostly Otto and friends money) while the company was out of cash.
No doubt Scott made a mistake letting Dan on the board but how one construes that mistake with the act of a 'scammer' is beyond me.
