This is playing out really closely to what I’ve been suggesting. The partisan politics are going to interfere. As soon as the Libs impose anything to speed it up they’re going to get a tongue lashing by the Conservatives.
So anyone who said the Cons are practical business people who see this as a benefit to the economy, it’s clear there’s more political capital to be gained from opposition.
I’m unfortunately anticipating more delay, more tension flares and maybe even a blow out amongst parties on the subject. If that happens, I really hope the conversation doesn’t start turning to a veto.
