#1010 RE: InventionStocks #1009

This thread has become exciting.

My 5 cents.

Moller's M400 flopped around before the shareholders more than a decade ago. It was stripped don to save weight. It went up and down. In my book it doesn't count as a 'flight'. He was under pressure to show the shareholders something. Anything. You know, with the SEC complaint and all.

He hasn't flown anything since and I doubt he will again before he dies.

They have been trying in vain to get the engine development funded. They have failed year after year to get this done. Only after they get engine production up and running they plan to concentrate on the flying car game again. And then it seems they want to concentrate on the dumb saucer. The same saucer he promised would go into production in 1976.

Even the engine is not proven. According to a question asked on the FM blog and an answer from Moller's latest employee they do not have any results from independent tests done to back up the claims about their engines performance.

So, they have to prove that their engine is as manure hot as they claim. Then they need to secure funding to complete engine development and start production. They need to start selling engines and make profit and only then can they start serious development on the flying cars. This all won't happen in months. It will take years. Moller is what? 80? Even if he lives to be a 100 his cognitive ability will be deteriorating soon, but seeing the choices he's made over the past few decades I think it is possible that deterioration has already set in.

Then you have to look at the fact that all the chases after funding have gone bust thus far. But luckily every year the fanboys say 'but this time is different'. But lets say a miracle happens and they secure funding. Now they have to prove the engine can live up to the wild claims. What if they can't? Lets say they can, now they have to put up a factory, start production, secure orders all this before the money runs out. And remember the doc has proven he cant manage a business worth a crap and he can't work with money. What, how can I say that you ask? Investigate their financials. Look at what they have done with the money they made off investors. Look at the track switching while not generating any revenue.

Oh well lets leave it there rather. Fanboys will be fanboys and they don't want to be confused with facts...

Supercharged, turbo of which you do not have the number for, BUT given Dr Moller's track record of Pats motor redesigns.. I am going to take it on faith the math works. That it will propel the craft as stated
