Ben is frustrated as well due to the lack of news.

Ben has been using that tactic for a couple years now. It's designed to create a false sense of unity between himself and those seeking answers. He didn't invent it, but he has used it well. Problem is it's only effective for a limited time, at least on the less gullible.
